La Arboleda

La Arboleda (The Woodlands) is a large property located on the main entrance highway into all areas of Costa Maya, ten miles from Majahual. The location and size of this property is shown in the Costa Maya Map. La Arboleda is 2 kilometers along the highway and 2 kilometers deep, or 1.24 miles by 1.24 miles. The area is 400 metric hectares, or 988 English acres.

 All traffic to Costa Maya will travel past this property, which is only a ten minute taxi ride from Majahual, and easily accessible by cruise ship tourists. Part of the property will be maintained as a wildlife refuge with emphasis on the many colorful birds and butterflies that currently inhabit the area. The residential area will be subdivided into large lots integrated into the habitat with nature trails. The trails will be restricted to foot and bicycle traffic. Away from the residential area, a fitness center, small restaurants, swimming pools, and tennis courts are envisioned. The development of a golf course with residential lots integrated within the course is being evaluated.
